The WTCC round scheduled for the extraordinary Nürburgring on 15-17 May is an incredible opportunity for Honda Type R owners and fans to immerse themselves in the circuit’s rich motorsport heritage.
It’s the first time that WTCC has raced at the famed 25km Nürburgring layout which combines the daunting Nordschleife and the demanding F1 GP circuit, and Honda Type R fans can be right at the heart of it.

In these terms and conditions, the following definitions shall apply:
a. Subject to these terms and conditions, the Event is open to all Honda car owners aged 18 or over, excluding employees of Honda Motor Europe Limited and their immediate families, their agents or anyone professionally associated with this promotion.
2. To participate:
a. If you own a Honda car, go to https://nurburgring.typer-experience.com and complete the registration form with all required details including how many people will participate in your car together with their details.
b. A maximum of 4 participants (including the registrant) will be permitted per car.
c. Press “submit” and pay the stated fee (€175 per person, including VAT). No processing fees will be charged for this transaction.
d. One registration shall be permitted per car, together with a maximum of one registration per person.
e. Please see clauses 5 and 6 for additional participant requirements.
a. Event tickets will be available for purchase until the earliest of EITHER:
i. 200 participants being registered; or
ii. 17 April 2015.
4.1. The Event shall include:
a. VIP entry to the World Touring Car Championship 2015 event on Friday 15 May to Sunday 17 May 2015 at the Nürburgring, Nürburgring, Rhineland-Palatinate Germany.
b. Accommodation, which shall be provided in the form of a complimentary one-man tent for participants to keep; one tent will be provided per attendee.
c. Food and drink throughout the weekend, which shall be provided through the Honda hospitality facilities. There will be designated meal times throughout the day, with basic refreshments served outside of these times on a 24 hour basis. Alcohol will be provided, but HME reserves the right to refuse to serve any participant and participants will be expected to drink responsibly. HME also reserves the right to stop any participants drinking or eating to excess without due consideration to the other participants.
d. The opportunity to meet the current Honda Castrol Team drivers Gabriele Tarquini and Tiago Monteiro and to join a group driver Q&A session
e. The opportunity for participants to familiarise themselves with the new Honda Type R – a display unit will be available at the Event.
f. The chance to attend the Honda garages, subject always to any applicable health and safety restrictions and in such a manner as HME or Red Wing considers reasonable, so as not to disrupt the preparation and participation of the Honda Castrol Team in any of the weekend’s competitive sessions or practices in the World Touring Car Championship.
g. The opportunity to drive one of the 40 Honda participant vehicles selected to participate in the Parade Lap (as defined above).
4.2. Participants selected to take part in the Parade Lap must have appropriate insurance in place for their registered Honda car.
4.3. Travel to and from the Nürburgring is not included. Neither HME, Redwing nor any of their affiliated companies will be responsible for any travel arrangements for participants to arrive at the Nürburgring nor for the actions of any attendee at the Event.
4.4. Participants hoping to drive in the Parade Lap will need to complete an indemnity form (see clause 5) and those registering a Honda vehicle must ensure that their vehicle complies with clause 6.
5. Indemnity Form / Disclaimer: During the Event any participant selected to take part in the Parade Lap will be required to produce their full driving licence (including any counterpart). Before taking part in any track event a participant must complete a disclaimer and indemnity form which confirms that:
a. They are free from any medical condition or illness which may affect or impair the driver’s ability to drive the car safely;
b. They are not, in any way, under the influence of drugs, alcohol or any other substance which may impair their ability to participate safely in the Parade Lap, or in the case of the driver, to drive the car safely.
c. They are wearing any prescription eyewear which they are required to wear to reach the minimum eyesight thresholds in the participant’s country of residence to enable them to drive;
d. That the driver holds a current, valid driving licence.
e. They will wear and will be responsible for ensuring that any passengers within their vehicle wears a seat belt at all times when on the Nürburgring;
f. They will comply with all instructions received from Honda staff, Redwing staff or Nürburgring staff promptly and will drive their vehicle in a safe and careful manner, having due consideration for any other parties on the track;
g. Either the driver or the registered owner (if not the same person) accepts that the use of their vehicle is their sole responsibility and accepts full legal responsibility for any loss or damage in the event that they elect to drive the vehicle without appropriate insurance coverage in place;
h. If a participant’s Honda vehicle that they have registered for the Event is not owned by them, that the legal owner of the car has given their express permission for the participant to use the car for any applicable activities relating to the Event (including driving on the Nürburgring), and the participant must be able to provide evidence of this permission upon request by any member of Honda staff, Redwing Staff or Nürburgring staff overseeing the Event.
i. HME reserves the right to prevent any participant from participating in the Parade Lap if it, Red Wing or Nurburgring staff suspect that a breach of the conditions of any applicable disclaimer, indemnity form or safety requirement has occurred.
6. All participants who register a vehicle confirm that, in relation to the car they are registering:
a. Either the driver or the registered owner (if not the same person) accepts that the use of their vehicle is their sole responsibility and accepts full legal responsibility for any loss or damage in the event that they elect to drive the vehicle without appropriate insurance coverage in place;
b. If a participant’s Honda vehicle that they have registered for the Event is not owned by them, that the legal owner of the car has given their express permission for the participant to use the car for any applicable activities relating to the Event (including driving on the Nürburgring), and the participant must be able to provide evidence of this permission upon request by any member of Honda staff, Redwing Staff or Nürburgring staff overseeing the Event;
c. the vehicle has a current MOT (or local equivalent);
d. the vehicle is fully taxed;
e. the vehicle is roadworthy (including in relation to tyre tread depths) and free of any defects which would class the vehicle as being legally unfit to drive on the road, including but not limited to a clean and crack-free windscreen and windows;
f. the vehicle has fully operational external lights;
g. if the vehicle has been modified, ensure each modification has been approved by the applicable motor vehicle inspection authority for that vehicle and recorded in the vehicle registration documentation.
7. Parade Lap Selection
a. By registering for the Event, each participant shall automatically be entered into a free prize draw, for the chance for the Honda vehicle they have attended the Event in, to be selected as one of the 40 Honda vehicles taking part in the Parade Lap.
b. Participants will be selected at random, based on a unique number allocated to them.
c. Subject to any health and safety rules imposed during the Event, participant vehicles selected to participate in the Parade Lap will be permitted to carry the passengers registered to that vehicle. No participants will be allowed to join the Parade Lap in car that they are not registered against.
d. Where more than one participant for the same Honda vehicle is selected, only the first selection shall count and HME shall continue to make random selections in accordance with this clause 7, until a maximum of 40 different Honda vehicles registered for the Event have been selected.
e. Any participants taking part in the Parade Lap, either as a driver or a passenger, must ensure that they comply with these terms and conditions in full, including but not limited to signing any applicable disclaimers and/or indemnity forms, following any safety instructions during the Event relating to the Parade Lap, ensuring that their vehicle meets the requirements set out in these terms and conditions, ensuring they have appropriate insurance to participate in the Parade Lap and understanding and accepting that participation will be entirely at their own risk.
8. Event Tickets:
a. If Event tickets are no longer available, or if your registration can only be accepted with fewer participants, you will be informed when submitting your request.
b. Event tickets will take the form of the online booking confirmation received via e-mail upon successful registration via the website. A printed version of this should be brought to the Event.
9. Publicity and Image Rights: All participants agree to participate in any reasonable publicity arranged by HME or Redwing on behalf of HME during the Event. Where necessary, HME may require a signed image rights waiver form.
10. Liability: Neither HME, Redwing, nor any of their affiliated companies can accept responsibility for any damage, loss or injury suffered by any participant participating in the Event. Nothing in this clause shall exclude HME, Redwing or their affiliated companies for any liability for death or personal injury caused by their negligence, or for any other liability which cannot be limited or excluded as a matter of applicable law.
a. No right to cancel by Customer: HME considers that the purchase of tickets via the website for the Event classes as a supply of services relating to a leisure activity for a specific date or period of performance, falling within the meaning of regulation 28(1)(h) of the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges Regulations) 2013. As such, despite being tickets being sold online and “at distance”, customers will not be entitled to cancel their tickets once purchased, or be eligible for a refund. Any refunds offered will be at HME’s sole discretion.
b. Cancellation by HME: HME reserves the right to cancel a contract with a registered participant, or disqualify any individual from participating in the Event, or any aspects thereof, without refund, where:
i. the Event cannot take place as a result of that participant’s actions, or the actions of any member within their registered group, including but not limited to tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond HME or Redwing’s control, which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Event.
ii. a participant or member of their group is found to have tampered with the entry process, or acted in a manner consistent with those circumstances outlined in clause 11(b)(i) above.
iii. at any time a participant commits a serious breach of these terms and conditions.
iv. a participant is found to have registered with or provided HME, Redwing or any other third party affiliated with running the Event with misleading or false information
v. a participant or member of the participant’s registered group attempts to defraud HME, Redwing or any third party affiliated with running the Event or acts dishonestly towards any of the aforementioned parties.
12. Force Majeure
a. HME shall not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of any of its obligations under these terms and conditions, including the need to cancel the Event, as a result of any circumstance beyond HME and/or Redwing’s reasonable control. This shall include, but not limited to, weather conditions, fire, flood, strike, hurricane, industrial dispute, war, terrorist activity, hostilities, political unrest, riots, and civil commotion.
b. In the event that circumstances beyond our reasonable control take place, HME together with Redwing shall use their reasonable endeavours to find a solution by which HME’s obligations under these terms and conditions can be performed despite these events.
c. Event tickets are non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash. In the event of unforeseen circumstances HME reserves the right to substitute the Event tickets for an alternative of equal or greater value.
13. Data Protection:
a. Any personal data provided by a participant as a result of registering for or participating in the Event will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998.
a. Acceptance: By taking part in the Event all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
b. Variation: HME reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions from time to time and will notify you of any such changes.
c. Severance – Each of the clauses of these terms operates separately. If any court or relevant authority decides that any of them are unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining paragraphs will remain in full force and effect.
d. No Waiver: If HME fails to insist that you perform any of your obligations under these terms or if HME does not enforce its rights against you, or if HME delays in doing so, that will not mean that HME has waived its rights against you and will not mean that you do not have to comply with those obligations. If HME does waive a default by you, HME will only do so in writing, and that will not mean that we will automatically waive any later default by you.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction: The terms and conditions and all contracts arising under them between us are governed by English law. You and we both agree that the courts of England will have exclusive jurisdiction in respect of any disputes or claims resulting from the terms or a contract formed under them.
